“Beit Midrash” Inscription from Dabura in the Golan Heights
A complete lintel was discovered in Ḣorvat Dvora or Dabura with a Hebrew inscription engraved inside the wreath reading:
“This is the beit midrash of the Rabbi Eli'ezer ha-Qappar”.
A Beit Midrash is a place of Torah learning. The Inscription is the only reference to a Beit Midrash in archaeological finds.
