Jewish Synagogue at Jericho 30 Miles North-East of Jerusalem Early 7th Century

Excavated in 1936, the Jericho synagogue, situated approximately 30 kilometers northeast of Jerusalem, was built during the Byzantine Era, dating to around the 6th or early 7th century. The mosaic floor is decorated with Jewish symbols, including the Ark of the Covenant, the Temple Menorah, a shofar, and a lulav. The synagogue is known for its Mosaic Hebrew inscription reading: "Shalom al Yisrael" - "Peace upon Israel".
